Christian Providers gathering together for a bible study.

“But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household,

he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” 1 Timothy 5:8

I have felt lost since January.
I’ve been praying earnestly that God would direct me on what to do with this blog.

I started a series called Faithful Provider, but if I’m honest, I didn’t yet know where I was leading you. What I did know was this: I want this to be my brand, and I want to build a community of like-minded individuals—people who are carrying responsibility quietly, faithfully, and often alone.

Why this direction?

Because I have been on this journey for more than ten years.
In truth, I’ve known how to provide long before I ever entered formal work.

When my parents began living separately, I became the eldest child who carried responsibility early. God entrusted me—still very young—with provision: money, care, guidance, and protection for my siblings. I was only 17, about to turn 18.

I remember my very first job vividly. I worked in a factory, cutting rice sacks with scissors. My productivity was measured by how many sacks I could cut in a day. My thumb ached constantly. I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and drowning in self-pity—but that was only the beginning.

After that, I worked at Dunkin’ Donuts, then as a cashier, then as a saleslady in Rustan’s Supermarket and Glorietta Mall. Between these jobs, I started a small carinderia business in the province. This became my main source of income even after I got married and had children—but instead of freedom, it led me into deep debt.

After my second child, life shifted again. My husband lost his job due to drug addiction, and I became the sole provider. In 2016, I entered the BPO industry. From then until today, I have been working, surviving, and enduring—navigating toxic people, unhealthy environments, and the quiet pressure of being responsible for everyone else.

These experiences are the reason this blog exists.

This is the story God gave me—not to glorify hardship, but to share hope. I believe He wants me to use this journey to gather people like us, so we can form a community rooted in faith, strength, and wisdom.

For months, I wrestled with questions:
How do I share this? Where do I start? What is my angle?

I read, I wrote, I listened to audiobooks and YouTube teachers, searching for clarity. I wanted to tell my lessons in a way that would not only inspire you—but strengthen you. I want to help you stand firm in your present battles while preparing for a better future.

Clarity finally came one quiet night—while my youngest child fell asleep beside me, weakened by fever. In that stillness, I realized the structure of everything I want to share in this blog.

I call it:

Christian Provider Rule of Life

A simple, faith-centered guide for daily living, provision, and peace

These are the life lessons I’ve learned over more than ten years of being a provider.

This is for:

  • the solo breadwinner
  • the single parent
  • the married woman with an irresponsible husband
  • the single person carrying financial burdens for the family
  • the woman whose husband left
  • the widow
  • the divorced

This is for you if you are working for the welfare of others while holding on to hope—that one day, you will experience both financial freedom and time freedom.

These are the principles:

  1. God First
  2. Walk in Discipline
  3. Guard Your Peace
  4. Steward Your Time
  5. Work With Excellence
  6. Care for Your Body
  7. Care for Yourself
  8. Lead Your Home
  9. Reflect and Journal
  10. Reconnect With Family
  11. Rest in God
  12. Sabbath Rest
  13. Fellowship
  14. Review Finances
  15. Vision & Planning
  16. Grow Your Capacity
  17. Invest in Joy
  18. Parent God’s Way
  19. Build for Time-Freedom
  20. Think Legacy, Not Survival

As we go along, I will share these one by one.
You will hear my stories, my journey, and the lessons God has taught me along the way.

My hope is that as we walk through these rules together, we will find ourselves stronger, wiser, more at peace—and eventually, living with greater freedom over our time and finances.

Friends, this is not a solo walk.
This is an invitation.

I invite you to share your own stories and lessons, because God gives each of us different paths—and through them, different revelations.

Let’s walk this journey together.

P.S.

If you have anything else to add on the list, feel free to write it down on the comment.
